πŸ“œ Phase Three: Case Brief Drafting (April 10th - April 17th)

ℹ️ During this Phase, Fellows will: β†’ Finish their Case Brief on a particular vexing issue plaguing a city, state, or country. β†’ Fellows will be able to utilize there Case Brief to display their commitment to future internships, employers, etc.

Case Briefs πŸ’Ό

One of the objectives of the Fellowship is to leave Fellows with a Case Brief that they can bring with them to job/internship interviews or use for future academic pursuits.

Case Briefs are an analysis of a vexing problem facing a particular sector of society. For example, a Fellow may examine how an increase in flooding on the Mississippi river has impacted commerce in the south and midwest, and propose solutions to mitigate the effects.

Case Brief structure:

 1. Issue (~200 words): Give the reader a brief overview of the issue/problem. You may draw from the description of the issue/problem as described in the relevant lesson and assigned readings.

 2. Analysis (~350 words): Analyze and critique past and current solutions already proposed and/or attempted to solve this issue.

 3. Proposal (~350 words):

 1. Further Questions (~200 words): Suggest questions that still need to be studied and any other relevant information that would be helpful to solve this vexing issue.

You can find an example of a well done Case Brief here.

πŸš€ Phase Four: Solve-a-Thon (April 15th)
